In January 2018, we were delighted to have reached the final of the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) 2018 Business Awards in Scotland. All at JML Contracts are delighted to have won the ‘Best SIPs Home’ award at the recent Build It Magazine awards in London on 22nd September.

This national awards programme has been run by Build It magazine for six years, and this year saw businesses enter projects across 25 categories in the self and custom build markets.

John Langley, Director of JML Contracts, commented: “We were absolutely delighted to receive this award. We did face stiff competition from other, much larger businesses in this category and were pleased that the judges identified the complexity of this project and chose us. They commented particularly on our innovative approach to the structural engineering of the project and our commitment to delivering a project that otherwise would have been unachievable within the budget had we not used SIPs. Winning awards like this, on a national stage, really highlights the quality and service that our whole team offers. This is a great win for everyone at JML Contracts.”

This project was also been shortlisted in the Best Custom and Self Build category in Structural Timber Awards 2017, which took place on 10th October.

STA Assure is a scheme by the Structural Timber Association (STA) of which we are members that defines levels of accreditation to provide customer assurance.

The STA Assure membership and quality standards scheme is designed to benefit both customers and members alike, promoting the differing specialisms, accreditations and quality standards held by STA members. As such, we just wanted to provide you with some more information about what this scheme means for us and you.

The STA has established three levels of membership accreditation within this scheme; Gold, Silver and Bronze. The relevant accreditation highlights the differing levels of in-house quality procedures, management systems and product performance as well as external accreditations held by STA members, offering clients complete transparency.

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded with STA Assure Level Gold which enables us to further demonstrate our high quality standards to the market and provide complete reassurance for our clients.
