We’re proud to have played a key role in the latest phase of conservation works at the iconic Kisimul Castle on the Isle of Barra.
Commissioned by Historic Environment Scotland, the project involved the delivery and installation of pre-crafted Scottish oak beams – produced at our Auchterarder facility and transported by helicopter to the remote island site. Working within this unique historic site brought unique logistical and heritage challenges, all handled with care and precision by our experienced team.
Despite weather delays, our crew used the downtime to give back to the community, carrying out a beach clean-up in and around Castlebay. It was a privilege to be part of preserving such an important piece of Scottish history, and we’re grateful to the local residents for their warm welcome.
We look forward to supporting future phases of this exciting conservation journey.
