10,000 Small Business Programme

Goldman Sachs LogoWell done to John, our Director, who last month completed the prestigious entrepreneurial programme run by global investment bank Goldman Sachs, called the 10,000 Small Business Programme.

JML Contracts was chosen as one of 60 businesses, UK wide out of 300 applicants, to take part in the UK-wide programme and benefit from high quality, practically focussed business and management education through a series of residential workshops and webinars. The curriculum has been designed specifically to offer smaller, scalable businesses access to world class international and national experts to learn more about entrepreneurialism. The programme aims to enable small UK business owners to grow their organisations, expand their market potential and create local job opportunities.

The programme gives participants an opportunity to meet and work with a wide range of business owners from across the country and to join the National Alumni network of those who have undertaken the programme in the past.

John Langley, Director of JML Contracts, commented: “This an excellent opportunity for our business and it is already encouraging us to think differently about growth areas and how we can maximise potential. We do have over 25 years’ experience, but taking a step back and being given the chance to discuss and learn from different types of businesses in many sectors brings a very interesting perspective.  As one of only two companies in Scotland to be selected to take part in the UK-wide scheme we were really pleased to have been given this opportunity. The access to leading expert advice and a network that is available through involvement with an organisation the size and credibility of Goldman Sachs brings a whole new focus for our business.”

The Goldman Sachs 10,000 small businesses programme is fully funded by Goldman Sachs and the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
